Bombed to the 10th Degree

In a world where games are lucky to make it beyond two outings before losing their freshness, let alone a trilogy, there are those that manage to adapt and keep on going. For the mascots of yesteryear, this is even harder, when competing against the likes of Master Chief or Nathan Drake. However, there is one character who has stood the test of time, adapting to the times, changing and evolving, staying the same, and yet different every time. And now he’s on his 10th iteration. He is the Blue Bomber.

Black Friday!

Yes, good ol’ Thanksgiving, the day of stuffing your face until you get the itis.. But not even a full 24 hours of recovery time is allowed as the clock strikes 12 is the beginning to a hectic spending-spree known to America as, Black Friday! I plan on purchasing an obnoxiously nice camcorder around that time, so I’ve been checking out all the deals here: http://www.black-friday.net/

So good luck to you all in getting what you wish!

Tekken 6 Unboxing and Opening Footage

Alrighty, I just received the game, Tekken 6 this afternoon via UPS, who surely didn’t decide to leave my package in the pouring rain, rather than putting it inbetween my screen door and the main door itself to keep it nice and dry and it looks great. I completely suck at it, but nonetheless, it plays like every other Tekken game, just prettier and in HD. Though the HD part is a bit misleading, as the actual resolution of the game doesn’t even hit 720p, but it upscales because of your PS3 and 360. You’ll definitely see those jagged lines that PC fans get to smoothen out in their games via anti-aliasing and anti-strophic filtering. But hey, it’s forever a console only fighter and something we’ll have to deal with. Another thing that really bothered me, were the absurdly long loading times. Installing the game to the PS3’s HDD definitely remedied that issue, but if that option wasn’t available, oh boy.. Well despite all that, Tekken is still one of  best looking fighting games out there in the market and the whole motion blur effect helps remedy the graphical issue I have with the game not even being a true HD status, especially with the fast pace 3D fighting.

Anyway, here’s the unboxing video: (click article to view all the videos) Read More…

BlazBlue: Continnum Shift

0925_01

Well I figured that now that they’ve said that Super Street Fighter IV is going to be a standalone update, the newest update to BlazBlue will be as well.

Titled “BlazBlue: Continnum Shift”, it’s an upgraded version of “BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger”. Besides an over haul on the hud, the game also includes three new characters from the games story mode as playable characters: Noel Vermillion’s best friend, Tsubaki Yayoi,  Hazama, and Λ-11.

Before I go any further, SPOILER ALERT!! SPOILER ALERT!! SPOILER ALERT!! WARNING!! Read More…
